Have you also finally come across a situation where you need to make changes to an already published post or page and want to save it, but only publish it at a specific time? Yes, I recently encountered a similar situation where I needed to update content for the next day, but since the content had to be published on that day only, I had to do it manually, which is not a very effective option.
So what is the solution?
Look, scheduling a new post in WordPress is very straightforward. However, for an already published post or page, WordPress doesn’t have any built-in feature for this. Now, if you’re lazy like I am, I don’t think you’d want to go through the trouble of creating custom code just for this purpose, right?
After doing some proper searching on the internet, I came across a fantastic plugin that does all the work for you. This plugin is specifically designed for this exact situation. The steps are very simple:
- Download the plugin – Revisionize (It is available in the WordPress plugin store)

- Install It and Activate It
- Now you’ll able to see an option called Revisionize in your posts/pages.

Click the ‘Revisionize’ option, and it will create a new copy of your page. Don’t worry about the new copy—once the post is published, you can remove the Revisionized version. The best part is that posts or pages part of Revisionize will have a marker above them labeled ‘Revisionize.’ All you need to do is make the necessary updates or changes to the post and schedule it for publishing. Once the post is published, you can simply remove the Revisionized version, and the cycle repeats.
And that’s it!
